How Many Students Can Be Registered?
A minimum of 30 students is required to register for The Big Challenge, but there is no maximum limit. You can register as many students as you want.
Until When Can Students Be Registered?
Registrations open in August.
👉 Early Bird Deadline: December 17, 2025.
👉 Final Deadline: February 21, 2026.
Should I Register Only the Best Students?
No, all students are encouraged to participate, regardless of their level.
The goal of The Big Challenge is to motivate and reward the efforts of every student. Registering only the best students limits the positive impact of the competition on the rest of the class.
💡 Tip: The aim is to create an atmosphere of collective motivation, where every student feels encouraged to improve.
What Level Should I Choose for My Students?
The levels in The Big Challenge correspond to the students’ grade levels.
👉 There’s no calculation needed: simply indicate the number of students per grade (Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6, Grade 7, Grade 8, Grade 9, Grade 10 vocational, Grade 11 vocational) when registering.
How to Add Students After Registering?
If you need to add students after registering, follow these simple steps:
1️⃣ Log into your teacher account or click the Login tab on the The Big Challenge website.
2️⃣ Update the existing registration by adding the new students.
💡 Good to Know: You can modify the number of registered students until the registration deadline.
Is There a Maximum Number of Students I Can Register?
No, there’s no maximum limit.
You can register as many students as you wish. The more students participate, the more motivating the competition becomes for the entire class.
Can Students Register Individually?
No, registrations must be made by a coordinator within the school.
Students cannot register on their own. This ensures better organization at the school level and simplifies the management of registrations and test sessions.
What If My Students Are Unavailable on the Test Date?
If your students are unavailable on the scheduled date, you can contact the organization to discuss possible solutions. You have flexibility between March 2 and March 20, 2026.
Why Is There a Minimum of 30 Students to Register?
The minimum of 30 students per school is due to fixed organizational costs.
These costs include:
📦 Shipping materials (questionnaires, answer sheets, return envelopes) for the Classic Format.
💻 Developing the online competition and managing databases for the Online Format.

Can I Register Native English-Speaking Students?
Yes, but with specific conditions.
Native English-speaking students can participate in the competition, but they will be classified as non-competing.
👉 Declare them during registration so their status is reflected in the rankings.
This rule ensures fairness for other participants whose English proficiency comes solely from school-based learning.
How to Include a Student with Special Educational Needs?
If you wish to adapt the competition for a student with special educational needs (SEN), it is possible to do so.
