From September, we pre-order prizes to be confirmed at the registration deadline. Therefore, refunds are not possible. However, even if students are absent on contest day, the school will still receive prizes for all registered students (whether present or absent) since these prizes have already been purchased and cannot be stored for future years.
Registration fees fund all organizational costs for the contest. These include:
Designing the questions and educational materials.
Printing and mailing registration kits and posters.
Printing, preparing, and shipping contest questionnaires.
Processing answer sheets via optical reading.
Preparing and shipping prize packages (around 3,000 packages annually).
Maintaining the website and app.
These fees ensure the quality and continuity of The Big Challenge without any public funding.
